About The Designer of Wimberly Inc.

Wimberly Shook Tribble, founder and creative director for Wimberly, inc, began her creative journey as a young girl growing up in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for detailed handwork began when she learned to needlepoint, crochet, hook rug and quilt with her grandmother. Wimberly continued to develop her interests in school studying a variety of art forms including screen printing, sculpture, drawing, and all types of painting. Wimberly received a Liberal Arts degree in Fine Arts from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia.

Following college, Wimberly returned to home to Dallas, Texas where as an accomplished painter, sculptor, and pen and ink stippler, she sold her work actively. While honing her design and fashion skills working at Neiman Marcus, Wimberly began her interest in designing jewelry.

While still designing jewelry as a hobby, Wimberly took a job as the designer and marketing director for home interior accessory company, Meco Designs. It was there her interest in designing jewelry and accessories took hold on a larger scale. Paired with her newly acquired manufacturing knowledge, the groundwork for Wimberly, inc was now firmly in place.

After taking time off to give birth to two beautiful daughters, Wimberly and her family moved to Austin, Texas. "Everyone in Austin lives in blue jeans and I was always amazed at how little there was in the way of fashionable belt accessories for jeans, so I decided to make one myself." She recalls. "While in the process of inlaying gemstones in a beautiful pattern, I suddenly felt my most artistically fulfilled." At that point all of Wimberly's creative experience merged and Wimberly, inc. was born.

The Wimberly Inc line is the natural evolution of both her past and her present. Her love of detail, fashion, and handwork are evident in every piece. Wimberly hopes you enjoy wearing each piece as much as she enjoys creating them. As she says, "I feel so blessed that people like my work. Each piece is handmade and they are hard to part with. They are a little piece of me."

The Wimberly inc brand has grown to include belts, jewelry, handbags, sandals, and more.

When she's not working Wimberly loves sleuthing flea markets, adding to her many collections, painting, seeing live music, theater, and movies, watching the sunset, playing poker, hanging out with her family and friends, laughter -- and anything else that inspires her.
